Umhlali SAPS had a quiet week, with very little notable crime to report.

The body of a murdered woman was found in a river in Esenembe on Saturday 18. Police are searching for the suspect who is known to the police.

  • Two people suspected of robbery were arrested.
  • A man was charged with assault.
  • Two suspected robbers were arrested.
  • Three men hanged themselves in the past week.

  • The team still have an EFCO grass cutting machine recovered in Ntshawini and ask the owner to contact them.
  • Nduduzo Buthelezi was arrested for theft and housebreaking.
  • A Congolese man called Mfano was arrested for assault and pointing a firearm at a woman.
  • Supplier of whoonga and other drugs, Bhejane Dube was shot dead by an unknown person.
  • A firearm was taken from a suspect and handed to Umhlali SAPS.
